ALL-ON-4

DENTAL IMPLANTATION-BASED ORAL REHABILITATION
All-on-4 is a dental implant-based, full oral rehabilitation developed by Nobel Biocare. The idea is to insert four implants in each jaw and connect them to a denture. Depending on the patient’s needs, this procedure is possible on either the upper, lower, or both jaws.

All-on-4 implant-based denture rehabilitation is done in three parts.

1. Session
– Consultation
– Anesthesia, if the patient requests it
– Removal of teeth unsuitable for prosthetic care
– Preparation of either two-phase or one-phase implants for implantation
– Implantation

2nd Session
, 7 days later
– Inspection of the implanted implants
– Suture removal
– Specimen taking for the permanent dentures

3rd Session 2-3 weeks later
Attachment of the final dentures. The material of the denture may be porcelain or zirconium. The dentures are fixed and not removable by the patient! This implant-based denture requires a sufficient amount and quality of bone tissue and takes about 20 days.

If you are interested in All-on-4 implant-based denture, please request a quote. We need a panoramic x-ray that is not older than three months for a correct quote. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

WHY DO I NEED LONG-TERM TEMPORARY DENTURE?
Tooth extractions and the placement of implants put some strain on the gums, which causes them to swell and become slightly deformed. The sampling takes place in this changed, temporary state, which is one of the reasons why only temporary dentures are possible. Another reason is that the final porcelain denture would put too much stress on the newly inserted implants, which have not yet been integrated into the bone structure. That is why a lighter, durable temporary denture made of acrylic is necessary, which, in addition to being aesthetic, provides perfect biting and chewing strength.

The inflammation goes away in a short time, and the gums recede and return to a normal state, but the complete and safe ossification of the implants takes a longer time, 4-6 months. Generally, after six months, we recommend replacing the long-term temporary dentures with permanent dentures. (The price of the final dentures is not included in the package price of dental implantation.)

There is a recommendation to replace long-term temporary dentures with permanent dentures after about six months. After this time has passed, it also becomes clear that the fixation and ossification of the implants are occurring correctly. We will make the final denture(s) if everything is OK. It can be metal-ceramic or zirconium dentures. Which is more suitable for a patient can be decided during a personal consultation with the implantologist.

THE 5 MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES OF A ONE-PHASE IMPLANT

  1. The one-phase implant, as the name suggests, is implanted in a single phase with one intervention. At the same time, the two-phase implantation takes two different occasions, with two interventions, one-phase – one operation and two-phase – two procedures.
  2. The one-phase implant, as its other common name suggests, is loadable immediately after implantation! The two-phase implant does not.
  3. The one-phase implant is designed in such a way that it is implantable not only in the tooth bone but also in the jaw bone if necessary, for example, in case of bone deficiency. Two-phase is not.
  4. The one-phase implant is implantable vertically at a 90-degree angle and, if necessary, at a different angle, depending on where the usable bone tissue is located in the jawbone. A two-phase implant cannot do this.
  5. The one-phase immediate loading implant also means that the long-term temporary denture is fixed on the implants after implantation. The patient does not receive a removable denture that rests on the gums but a perfectly functioning fixed denture. That is not the case with the two-phase implant.
